In an increasingly resource scarce and digital world, regulators face growing pressure to do more with less. Successful implementation of digital solutions is more important than ever. Regulators must navigate complex and changing legislative and other enabling requirements. The price of failure is high, with potential harm to the community and a loss of trust in government its key impacts.

Insights from our interviews and survey responses with regulators and experts, speak to these complexities and aim to provide advice and solutions for regulators and those working with regulators to implement digital.

These insights will provide regulators (and those working with regulators) with a helpful resource to facilitate successful implementation of digital solutions and IT projects. This report aims to support regulators to avoid common pitfalls and traps, effectively navigating the complex nature of implementing digital in the regulatory context.
